Figures Adjustment

My "Falling of a cliff" post should've said Steve Lewis Hamilton is down 13 points for me in August not 6.5 points. So even worse than posted!

Steve served up another loser today. An old horse that hasn't won a race for years. Does he pick his selections out of a hat?

Another poor selection from SLH tonight. 2pts on a 2/1 shot (even though it did come in to 5/4) hardly looked like value... especially for a horse that had no real form on soft ground. Bob.

Steve Lewis Hamilton really is serving up some utter rubbish at the moment. It really is disgraceful that a person can charge so much money and provide so little in return apart from a glossy website full of misleading figures and inaccurate information. According to Steve's website, he has every expectation of making 100 points profit this year. The figures on the website are outrageous and the lies about profit are disgraceful - I may need to report the pair of them - Rob and Steve - to trading standards for misadvertising a marketed product, namely the Private Service. Today's bet was rubbish - the horse is not suited to chasing and he looked totally outclassed by the other horses in the race. I also couldn't understand Steve's logic - according to his website he aims to make ten points profit with each bet but today's bet was advised as two points win at 2/1 and would have made four points profit if the donkey had won. His staking is flawed, his advice is wayward and his ability to run a professional website with properly archived results of both winners and losers is seriously lacking and the information presented is down-right rubbish. It seems Rob will only update the website when Steve gets an occasional winner but leaves it out of date when there is loser after loser as there have been for the last few weeks. The website is a disgrace and I'm going to stop backing Steve's selections as he's robbing me blind - high subscription costs, expensive and irritating phone calls and a stable full of lame donkeys are not going to make me any money. I'm better off sticking to honest hard work and quality time with my family.r rubbish at the moment. I have lost my 20 point bank following SLH since the 1st August. Not sure whether to pack it in or carry on - I have a three month membership. It feels like it would be cheaper to not place anymore bets! I was expecting to make some profit following a 'professional' tipster but, as I thought, it's just a mugs game and always will be. At the end of the day, what are we doing - betting on animals which we don't understand, which we can't communicate with and which have good days and bad days like everyone else?

Executive's Hall - what a total joke of a horse. It was rousted along from half way, kept jumping all crooked and slowly - it hit the third from last fence hard and low. Tinkler was bouncing up and down, boxing along and flogging the poor animal for the final couple of furlongs. The horse has never won a chase race so why did Steve think he'd win today? In the same way that Marked Man hadn't won for years, Executive's Hall was a loser on paper before the race began. What on earth does Steve think he's playing at apart from stealing my money? what a total joke of a horse. Steve and Rob Lewis Hamilton are wasting my time and money. I'd love to see them getting a good whipping in the same way that Andrew Tinkler flogged that dead horse they advised as a strong win bet at Cartmel earlier this evening.

I am going to contact Steve Lewis Hamilton and ask him why he hasn't updated his website this month and why it displays misleading information regarding profits. I am also going to ask him to stop putting up account bets earlier than the advised time. I am also going to suggest that he uses a text messaging services for dispatching bets - why the hell should I pay to call his line to hear him waffle on like a broken record? I couldn't care less about his views, analysis and opinions - just give me the bet and shut up. A text message would be ideal with the name of the race course, the time of the race, the name of the selected horse and the advised odds. I imagine he is just trying to make yet more money from us by having his annoying phone line.

Hi all - thanks for your comments;

Anon (1) - disappointing tip and typifies this months performance

Anon (2) - interesting horse was 2/1 considering its lack of experience on soft ground / that type of race. Although if it's 2/1 and SP 5/4 - is that value?

Mug Punter - I believe the website has been updated according to another comment. I never look at the website - results are key - and while not good at the moment - long term there's still profit in there. All tipsters have ups and downs - e.g. Equine Investments is another high cost service having a poor month. For me need to focus on long term rather than individual months. Do know what you are saying.

Stuart - thanks for your post - not sure when you joined SLH but its been a tough old month. Have you joined the Secret Betting Club - definitely worth it if not - gives a lot of tips / info on how to run a betting portfolio etc.

The Boss - great name - I very rarely watch the races to be honest - I found it too soul destroying during losing streaks. Keeps the emotion out of it - you can see how emotional I get anyway!!

Anon (3)- does appear it was a bit of a duffer

Anon (4) - let me know how you get on after you've contacted them. Seems the website has been changed so maybe it worked. Difficult one re the comments - some people like the background / some people don't. I usually hang up after I've got the bet and don't bother with the waffle.

I don't mind the phone call to be honest. If you phone you know time (although timings have been a few mins either way annoyingly recently) and you've got a better chance getting on at the recommended price. I also think a service with a phone is less likely to be "replayed" as someone has to phone with a pin and you can track how many times a pin has been used. By time someone has passed bets on (as I'm sure people do) then I've got my bet on. Compare this to a tipster like Equine who text / email and the price is cut in a minute. I'm sure this is partly due to replaying. Nothing Equine can do but it's highly annoying.
